Expect a guide who plays along: happy to stop for one more photo, find the angle that makes you look good, join in the silly poses, and keep the drive fun with a bit of humour along the way. Every trip is planned around your pace, your people and your ideas.

I'm Oscar (Youwei Ren), the driver, guide and unofficial photographer of On a Whim Tours (ON A WHIM TOURS LIMITED). I live in Christchurch and speak Mandarin and English.
I started this company fairly recently, so I won't pretend to be a grizzled veteran — what I bring is genuine enthusiasm, a camera-happy eye and a willingness to go along with your plans (within reason, and within the speed limit). I love the South Island and I love seeing guests leave with photos they actually want to post.
